Checking In to The Peninsula Hotel New York

Located amidst the hustle and bustle of Midtown, The Peninsula Hotel on fifth avenue is one of the cities’ most classic and iconic hotels. Paying heavy tribute to the 1920’s Art Deco vibes around this part of town, the hotel is a blend of old meets new with a classic and timeless elegance that is evident in every little detail throughout you stay.

I was visiting New York City with my mum who had never visited the city before, so I put my trust in The Peninsula to give her the best introduction to the city possible (and boy did they deliver!) We were welcomed with an early check-in and chocolates and snacks waiting to welcome us in our room (our solid chocolate Empire State building no less!)

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of midtown, just a short walk to the likes of Central Park, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Bryant Park, the Empire State building, the Rockefeller and so much more. With luxe gold trimmings, elegant public spaces and a team of staff who have an “anything is possible” attitude, it isn’t possible to fault this classic New York City hotel.

Salon De Ning: The Peninsula’s Rooftop Bar

Whether you’re staying at the hotel or passing by and want to check it out, the Salon De Ning rooftop bar atop the Peninsula is one of the most impressive rooftop bars in the city. Be sure to arrive a little earlier than sunset if possible as a table will be hard to come by, especially on weekends!

A very warm thank you to The Peninsula New York for welcoming me to experience the hotel with my mum on this visit to New York City! All photos and opinions are my own.
