I don’t know about you, but I’m quite impartial to a Palm Springs getaway. There’s a certain allure of the desert, a calling if you will, that drives you to return every time your soul needs a recharge. And there’s no place in the desert more alluring than Palm Springs.

With the rise in popularity of Coachella, Palm Springs has suddenly landed back on the map as a hipster haunt, complete with endless villas for rent, decked out in minimalist and mid-century modern design trends. Located slightly off Palm Springs’ main drag, this desert luxe hotel could be considered the swanky upgrade to the Ace, a little more refined but still a party hotel. The decor and style is not dissimilar from one of our other favourites, the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. You can see the similarities in the hotel’s 1930’s roots, which have been upheld to give the hotel a nostalgic throwback vibe.

This adults-only haunt is the perfect choice for a contemporary getaway. This is one of the few brand new hotels in Palm Springs, so you can expect to feel fresh inside the sleek digs that lay low to the ground. For a colour pop (okay, let’s be real, an overload), check yourself in to The Saguaro Palm Springs. We’ve long been fans of these playful and quirky hotels, especially by way of their food and beverage offerings (did somebody say margaritas and tacos!?) Featuring handcrafted Mexican furniture, the bright rooms have all the mod-cons you’d expect, but it is the Mexican restaurant that really floats our boat.
